I always tried to get my children to try as many different types of food as possible. My hope was that by tasting many things that they would not become picky eaters. While I finally realized that my plan wasn’t going to work out, I did learn that they would try more things if the food was presented in different and fun ways. When they were given a bowl of fruit, they were not always enthusiastic, but when presented with fruit kabobs, they happily ate ever last bit. Add in a yummy dipping sauce and everything became sunshine and rainbows.
I have never met a child who didn’t love fruit kabobs. Bright and colorful, with different textures, paired with a fruit dip, this finger food has happy children written all over it.
Need something to take to a party that is no bake, quick and beautiful? These are a perfect summer dessert. These fruit kabobs will appeal to kids, young and old. so I like to make a huge stack of these for our family barbecues with a triple batch of the dip.
